On July 13, 2017, Enercon allowed students to look behind the scenes at Magdeburg for a few hours. A public transport was used to reach Enercon in Magdeburg-Rothensee . The research assistant Nicola Gast took charge of the excursion from the Chair for Electrical Networks and Renewable Energy.

In cooperation with the VDE University group Magdeburg, the chair of Electric Power and Renewable Energy carried out an excursion to the substation Wolmirstedt on the 27th of June 2017.

Als einziger Lehrstuhl trat das LENA beim Wettfahren im Drachenboot um den Pokal des Rektors an. Getreu dem Motto "Volle Kraft voraus" gewann das Team direkt im ersten Lauf mit Bestzeit.

At the annual general meeting of the VDE regional group magdeburg, the LENA researcher M.Sc. Marc Gebhardt won the price for excellent masters thesis with his thesis "Entwicklung und Validierung eines Softwaremodells für Phasenschiebertransformatoren in MATLAB".

The meeting is regular in an annual base which is held between the university of OVGU and Technical university of ILMENAU in partnership with Fraunhofer Institutes from ILMENAU and Magdeburg. The two days meeting is intended to exhibit and disclose research works in the group so that it will enhance the research projects undergoing within the parties.
