Dissertation defense of M.Sc. Gabriel Maier Cocco
On December 18, 2025, Dr.-Ing. Gabriel Maier Cocco successfully presented his dissertation entitled “Contributions to Distributed Generation: Grid-Supporting Control of Multi-Source Grid-Tied Power Converters.” After passing the doctoral colloquium and receiving his grade, his tie was added to the display case alongside those of other successfully completed doctoral examinations.

Afterwards, the traditional procession to the Otto von Guericke monument at the Old Market took place, accompanied by drums and music in traditional clothing.

The doctoral committee was chaired by Electric Power Networks and Renewable Energy (LENA) Chair from FEIT-IESY of the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. Prof. Dr. Humberto Pinheiro (Advisor-UFSM), Prof. Dr. Martin Wolter (Advisor-TU Dresden), Prof. Dr. Andreas Lindemann (OVGU), Prof. Dr. Fabian Lurz (OVGU), Prof. Dr. Leandro Michels (UFSM) and Prof. Dr. Mauricio Sperandio (UFSM) served as examiners.
